I am pleased to announce the release of the highly anticipated full-length Lucky Overton CD, College Town. Without going into to much about the production, (although it did take over a year and a half to make) I have a few things I'd like to tell you all:
College Town is essentially the prequel to The Portland Sessions, with wacky trips gone wrong, mixed up relationships and of course, heartbreak. But more specifically, this CD contains both the adventure and confusion of my twenties. My songs all appear chronologically, focusing on events in my life that unfolded upon moving back Arizona in 1998. It is, quite simply the best thing I have ever created and in my opinion, it stands on its own as something that could very well be one of the best albums out there.
More than fifteen other musicians, along with four studios joined in on the project, helping to create a diverse landscape of sounds and giving each song its own personality. College Town is my first full-length CD. With the help of all of you, we can see more to come from Lucky Overton Music in the future.
This CD is a milestone for me, not only as a songwriter, musician and producer, but as a publisher and small business owner. Your purchases and donations all go toward keeping Lucky Overton Music alive, so please, spread the word!
The songs on College Town are the best of the best out of the past ten years. I tried to tell the complete story of my twenties, laying down each song in the order that they were written in. With the help of the musicians that appear below, we achieved something beyond what I had in my mind. I am very pleased with result.
